H1b Application Checklist {Filing opens on 1st April 2009}:

1.Copy of Passport Pages (Please do not send blank pages)

2.Copy of all Mark-Sheets
a) SSC
b) HSC
c) Graduation / Diploma
d) Post Graduation
e) Additional Courses

3.Copy of all Diploma & Convocation Certificates
a) Bachelors
b) Masters
c) Any Other Courses

4.Copy of All Experience Certificates from All Employers (If you do not have experience certificate, you need to have your Offer Letter / Appointment Letter / Confirmation Letter From The Current Employer and relieving letter from each employer)

5.Soft Copy of Resume in a word doc format

6.Current Contact Details (email; tel; fax);

PERM: PERM stands for Permanent Residency (also know as Green Card). This is a new centralised system introduced by the US INS. Green Card being decentralised system has a lot of states lagging behind in its processing. Due to this a new centralised system of PERM is introduced. PERM also helps employers retain PERM applications incase their candidates get their H1b transferred.

For 2009 - 10 year the H1b Visa rules have been altered and companies under the bailout program cannot hire H1b Professionals!!

Despite all this we expect the Visa filing to start and end within 2 - 3 hours on 1st April 2009!!
