Looking at the career opportunities which are increasing in the non metro area, perhaps candidates have more stable careers there, says Mr Arun Solomon, General Manager – Human Resources, MSPL Ltd.
While talking on the comparison of compensation between Metro Job Opportunities and Non-Metro Job Opportunities he said, “Non metro jobs definitely offer competitive compensation. We try to get the best talent and ofcourse offer good compensation compared to the metros.â€
Answering a question on presence of Energy sector in offbeat locations and hiring challenge for energy companies, he said, “We are where energy and natural resources abundantly available. Wind energy is generated plenty here compared to near metro locations. Hiring is a tougher challenge here because we need to convince the candidates that life here is cozier and career is cool and you have all the opportunities to develop your competence.â€
Encouraging candidates to choose a career in Non-Metros over career in Metro cities, he said, “You can fulfill your desire to settle down in a non hassled metro. It gives u less distance to commute. Cost of living is less and you have more fresh air.â€
